Winter Meditation RetreatDecember 28th 2026 - January 3rd 2027
Our annual Winter Meditation Retreat for young adults
Especially towards the end of the year, many people sense their past struggles and yearn for a time out in order to pay more attention to oneself and others.
Finding rest. Shaking off stress and re-discovering oneself. Meditating together, as well as celebrating: The Winter Retreat is a special experience, inspiring people from different countries each year.
Mindfulness meditation at the Winter Retreat
Mindfulness meditation means quiet resting, HERE and NOW, and becoming aware of emerging thoughts and feelings without judging or holding on to them. Mindfulness meditation has a positive effect on body, mind and psyche – as proven by a wide range of scientific studies. Furthermore, regular practice of mindfulness can foster the development of emotional intelligence, a key skill and capacity both for your professional and private life.
The Winter Retreat is a unique opportunity to learn, practise and deepen mindfulness meditation.
Many people from diverse cultures and (non-)religious backgrounds meet in the inspiring ambience to spend an intensive, fulfilling time together.
Completely at ease: relaxing, managing stress, meditating – and having fun.
Besides various talks & sharing circles on daily life themes and mindfulness, this meditation retreat also offers the opportunity to get to know young people from different countries, and to cook, celebrate, and make music together. Evenings in a relaxing atmosphere, celebrating a glittering new year’s party and meditate into the new year at midnight. Beyond religious commitments, it’s about meditation for young people; community, a zest for life and mutual exchange with others take centre stage during the retreat.
Questions?
Are you new to meditation and would like to know what to expect? Or do you have any wishes and wondering if we’re able to accommodate? Or something else?
Corine (retreat coordinator) and Jordy (meditation teacher) will host two online Q&A sessions to answer any questions you might have. These Q&As include a short introductory guided meditation by Jordy.
Dates will be announced around September.
Let us know which Q&A you would like to join through info@youngsitameditation.org and you will receive a meeting invite!
The WINTER RETREAT is a precious opportunity for young people to learn and practise traditional meditation. There are daily talks, sharings and workshops about everyday life and how to combine that with mindfulness and meditation. The seminar provides the possibility to get to know peers from different nations, to cook, party and make music together. Watch our video!

The midnight meditation on New Year’s eve was magical. So powerful. That’s my personal experience, but everyone else who attended said the same. 🙂
